The Cannonball Run, in short is a film packed with some of the greatest personalities of that era. Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Farrah Fawcett, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Jamie Farr and the list goes on and on. It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. But, my partner disagrees! Can he come around by the of the show?
While I love this movie one of the most biggest back stories imo is important this was for Lamborghini. The 1979 Countach LP400 S was the car that was in the first Cannonball Run movie. This car has been altered a bit from stock with the front spoiler and the something like 12 exhaust pipes off the back. But this movie is what made every kid on the planet want the post of the Countach on their wall. Personally I remember watching 1 and 2 just for the chance to see that car. To this day that car is a bucket list item for me. But most importantly, this movie is one that I love. So many funny bits.
It was however difficult to find, it isn’t available for streaming and I needed to purchase a physical copy. 2 however is available on streaming platforms.
